Pickling and passivation in assembly and at customer’s premises

Our services include pickling and passivation of stainless steel on site at the customer’s premises. In this way, parts that cannot be transported to us in the pickling shop due to their dimensions, weight, construction or fixed anchorage are sprayed and passivated. The work is carried out in a mobile pickling workplace. The services provided also include the capture, transport and ecological disposal of wastewater generated during the process. There is no dimensional or weight limitation for these jobs. We are able to process virtually any type of structure or component, including large industrial parts and specific installations.

The resulting surface after pickling and passivation is degreased, clean, free of corrosion, paint buildup, scale after welding, buildup and abrasion of carbon material and pickling and passivation residues. Pickling, however, does not remove slag, burnt grease in welds, deep inclusions of carbon material, impurities ground into the surface, baked-on protective film residues, markings and other flaws. Pickling can also not achieve a uniform or repeatable surface appearance. A common phenomenon of pickling is that the surface becomes matt and the surface roughness increases.  

The assembly foreman is responsible for the final surface quality of the work. On request, he will have a report issued on the order, according to CSN EN 10204 – Declaration of Conformity with the Order. If necessary, a suitable test can also be ordered. In this case, after completion of the work, an inspection department employee comes to the workplace and performs the test according to the client’s requirements.
